My wife and I went to Ruth's Chris in Clayton on our wedding night. I would expect to have people be extra nice and happy because of that fact, but these guys went above and beyond! The setting was romantic and quiet, just what we were looking for on this occasion. The food was perfect, from the uniquely prepared (and very tasty!) Calamari, to the exquisite filets cooked exactly as we requested, to the apple tart dessert. And to top it all off, our server was so friendly and took such great care of us, we would return in a heartbeat! She took our picture and emailed it to us, checked on us enough without interrupting our evening, and brought us an extra dessert to take home! Obviously I can make no guarantee that everyone will get a free dessert. But we went to Ruth's Chris expecting a nice dining experience and were absolutely blown away how they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and the food was to die for. We recommend Ruth's Chris to anyone looking for a romantic spot, friendly service from people who make you feel special, and amazing food - more than just the steaks!"

Here is our experience at the Ruth Chris Steak House, Clayton, Missouri Sunday night 6 PM, We were a group of 5 with a reservation. The bar was empty as we arrived, After a short "stop in the bar" while we noticed that there were very few tables with guests in the dinning room.(not sure why we spent 10-15 minutes or so "parked" in the bar?). We were a party of non-drinkers with a reservation. The service from the kitchen was very slow, steaks cam out cold and tough. The "stuffed T Bone" was closer to 20 ounces rather than the 40 plus ounces that the menu advertised. All of the sides were large and hot very tasty. The meal was very expensive ant the quality of the entrees was not up to the all of the hype of Ruth Chris. The waitress was very nice,polite and yes she was a cute Tall Blonde. While this was not up to our expectations, there are many other great St Louis Steak Houses, Citizen Kane's Steak House, Kreis' Restaurant, the Charcoal House, AL'sSteak House they all offer a much better dining experience with great service and superb food quality inline with what you would expect from a 5 Star Restaurant . We very disappointed and I'm not sure what all the fuss is about this place.... This was more like a Texas Road House/Outback Steakhouse type experience . We won't be back. From a Saint Louis Steak Expert!

The ambience and food...5 stars. Enjoyable service, and Excellent Food. Everything to my liking. Great choice for any event.
