Site of the 1904 World's Fair, Forest Park stands today as a vast urban park, replete with activities and sites ranging from golf to art museums. Some of the 1,293-acre park's top attractions are the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Saint Louis Zoo, The Muni theater, the Missouri History Museum and the Saint Louis Science Center. In addition to the miles of scenic trails winding through forest and field, recreational activities in the scenic park include tennis, golf, soccer and ice skating. The park is a few miles due west of downtown, next to Washington University in Saint Louis.
