A broad-range resource for studying the visual arts, the Saint Louis Art Museum holds more than 30,000 works of art, both on display and in its archives. Special focus is given to the ancient arts of civilizations including China and Egypt as well as art from the last two centuries created in Europe and the United States. Beyond its main art displays, the museum has community outreach programs and educational events including lectures, guided art history tours and family programming. The museum is one of the many attractions inside Forest Park, with other destinations including the Saint Louis Zoo, The Muny and the Missouri History Museum.
