Spread over 79 acres of land, the Missouri Botanical Garden is divided into many different gardens and subgarden areas, each with its own focus and design. Some of its most popular areas include the Seiwa-en Japanese Garden, the Lehmann Rose Garden and the Mausoleum Garden, the final resting place of the site's founder Henry Shaw. Educational classes for children and families as well as gardening classes for adults are offered, providing further information about the plants contained within the gardens, plant care practices and environmental friendliness. The garden complex is a few miles southwest of downtown Saint Louis, just north of Tower Grove Park.
